Leet Twp move to Allegheny county dispatch

Tim M sent an email that Leet had moved to Allegheny county dispatch. According to Leet's home page they moved December 6, 2016 to Allegheny county dispatch.

Bell Acres On Allegheny county dispatch

I received an anonymous email stating that Bell Acres had switched from Beaver County Dispatch to Allegheny County.

Bell Acres Police are on North Police Ch. 11 495.0125 PL 186.2 #82--

North Police

I received a message from Tim McKenna with the following change in North PD.

The police departments that were on North PD 12 (460.2875) were combined onto North PD 10 on November 19th, and now that channel covers all police from Harrison Township down to Verona in the Allegheny Valley area. The old North PD 12 is now known as Allegheny Valley Public Safety, and is an ops channels for fire/EMS/police to use as needed.

Allegheny Co. North Zone PD

495.0125 DPL 432 is simulcast with 494.4125 DPL 432 and 155.010 PL 114.8. North Police Ch.11

Sewickley and Leetsdale are now on North PD 11. They have left the VHF freq 155.490 PL 114.8

North Boros police departments on 155.010 PL 114.8 are also moving to North PD 11, and may very well be on there already. I suspect there is still a department on 155.010 still, and that simulcast will be shut off once the final department has moved over to UHF.

Allegheny County Updates

Just wanted to pass along a few more updates you can post to PGHscanner.com when you get a chance...

---Springdale Boro EMS (Station 230) went out of service last July, and the Boro is now covered by Lower Valley EMS (Station 150)

---I also believe Versailles VFD stopped their volunteer EMS service as well (Station 650). All EMS calls I've heard over the past several months have all been covered by Elizabeth Township Area EMS (Station 520), with the fire department QRS 286 being dispatched as well.

I confirmed tonight that Elizabeth Area EMS, station 520 is now covering Versailles. Versailles station 286 is rolling a squad first responder. Squad 286 is dispatched on the East Fire channel, and responds on South EMS channel. I will make the updates to reflect station 650 as being closed.

I have also not heard PACER EMS Response, station 920 for a while. I believe that this station is out of service as well. I will update the site to reflect this station as out of service.

The Allegheny County Web site does list Lower Valley as the EMS agency for Springdale Boro.

Thanks to the local PGHScanner.com user for bringing this to my attention. I will confirm the Springdale Boro information and update that as soon as I can.

Allegheny County North Zone has been simulcasting 155.010 PL 114.8 and 495.0125 DPL 432 police.

Ross Township Fire

Ross Township fire now on Allegheny County North Zone

Dispatch on 471.5625 PL 103.5 and operations on Ch. 3 471.7625 PL 107.2. There are still some paging tones over 154.310 PL 192.8, but all operations have been on the North UHF system.

Ross PD

Ross PD were being simulcast on 159.150 and North PD 2 471.8625 PL 103.5. I have just finished updating the pages, and of course this simulcast is no longer in effect. I will wait and see what happens before I make any other changes

It looks like they are attempting to shorten dispatches. I have noticed that there are quite a few departments being dispatched with only one set of tones. They used to have two, and rarely three sets of tones for each department.

I've also noticed more QRS dispatches. QRS are dispatched on fire, and respond on EMS Ch. 1

The fire tones, and QRS companies will be on the next site update.
