P25 Testing

Some testing tonight of P25 format on 453.4125. No ID, just test counts. This is an Allegheny County channel that I've heard some activity on. So.......I would guess, that its Allegheny County testing. I did not catch the NAC.

New Ham Repeaters In Brentwood

New ham repeaters in Brentwood. Both repeaters are situated on the roof of Brentwood VFD.

145.250 - negative offset - PL 131.8 is required for input. PL 131.8 is transmitted on output.

443.6000 - Positive input - PL 131.8 is required on input. No PL is transmitted on output.

Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh

Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh has moved. They also now have a new communications system. They are using :
461.875 - Digital
461.6375 - Digital

They are licensed for more, but I have heard these active, as well as inputs.

They are using new Motorola radios that appear the be using TRBO digital format. This is a proprietary digital format, that is NOT P25 compatible.

St. Margaret Hospital

St. Margaret Hospital 464.475 PL 156.7. They are still using the DPL on the input.

TRMA Meeting

There will be a TRMA meeting at the Kings at the Water Works Mall. All are invited. We will be arriving around 1930. Hope to see you there

Chillis at the Water Works Mall is using 467.8125 PL 71.9 simplex for operations

Pitcairn Fire

Pitcairn fire departments are now being dispatched by Allegheny County on East Fire (472.5875). Stations 229 and 230. I will attempt to get the new tones

Warrior filming in PIttsburgh

Filming for Warrior has been going on for a few weeks. They are now at the Petersen Events Center filming, and will be there until after the first week in June. Frequencies heard so far :

Ch. 2 456.2375 DPL 043
?Ch. 3 451.5375 DPL 065
Ch. 4 456.5375 DPL 131

Ch. 2 and 4 have been referred to directly as such. Ch. 1 and 3 seem to be the main operating frequencies they switch from when needed.

New additions to the shack

Just added to the shack. Yaesu FT-857D and Uniden BCD 396XT. I'll add files for them as soon as I figure them out.
