North Police

I received a message from Tim McKenna with the following change in North PD.

The police departments that were on North PD 12 (460.2875) were combined onto North PD 10 on November 19th, and now that channel covers all police from Harrison Township down to Verona in the Allegheny Valley area. The old North PD 12 is now known as Allegheny Valley Public Safety, and is an ops channels for fire/EMS/police to use as needed.

Site Updated

Updates for most pages were uploaded.

I am working on updating the site. Currently the site is up and running in both the old format, and the newer format. The new format is still a work in progress. I am just working on the basic layout and conversion of the current pages to the new format. There are some bugs that need to be worked out. The biggest issue is getting the navbar to work in older versions of Internet Explorer. Please try out the new sites. Just add .php instead of html at the end of the URL. Any suggestions are welcomed.

The second phase of the site upgrade will be the use of databases, SQL, and PHP to allow easier updating of the site, and more flexibility. Hoping to allow some searching of the databases, and perhaps even the building of your own scan list from the data.

University of Pittsburgh TRS

University of Pittsburgh TRS was changed from a Type I Motorola system to a DMR Capacity Plus system. I have analyzed the system completely yet. Different color codes on each freq. The rest channel will have a data burst similar to LTR systems, every 2-3 seconds. Voice traffic and data bursts will move between the frequencies.

Allegheny County Jail

Allegheny County Jail has been changed over to a P25 Phase 1 TRS. Control channel 857.2125. So far the only TG I have heard is TG 1.

Ch. 1 451.2375 DPL 023 - Main freq for the filming
Ch. 2 456.2376 DPL 043 - Chit chat channel for the main filming Ch.
Ch. 3 451.5375 DPL 065 - Main freq for transportation and logistics
Ch. 4 456.5375 DPL 131 - Chit Chat channel for transportation and logistics
