I have updated http://www.pghscanner.com to the new format. The old format will continue to be used on http://www.qsl.net/k3fs

I still have a couple of major projects on the new format. One being the QSL card page. I am working on that currently. The other is the file download. I am working on updating the programming on my radios. Once that is completed I will update the files. I am considering the deletion of some pages as well. The reprogramming of radios has proven to be more time consuming than I thought. I am also working on using a database on the site. This will allow for easier updates, more display options, and searching.

The Events Calendar has been fixed
The PGHscanner.com forums has been fixed. You are now able to sign up for the forums again.
The events calendar, forums, survey, and guest book, have all been updated to the new look. You will now be directed to the updated site when you visit any of those areas.
The PGHscanner.com Yahoo group is now updated, and there is a link to it on the new pages.

I still have to work on updating the QSL cards page to the new look. Once that is done, and the download files are updated the site will completely convert over to the new style. You can use the new style pages by changing any page from .html to .php.

Work continues on the new version of the site. Please try it out Replace the html at the end of the URL with php. Any comments and suggestions on the new site are welcome. Should start work on the data bases soon.

I am working on updating the site. Currently the site is up and running in both the old format, and the newer format. The new format is still a work in progress. I am just working on the basic layout and conversion of the current pages to the new format. There are some bugs that need to be worked out. The biggest issue is getting the navbar to work in older versions of Internet Explorer. Please try out the new sites. Just add .php instead of html at the end of the URL. Any suggestions are welcomed.

The second phase of the site upgrade will be the use of databases, SQL, and PHP to allow easier updating of the site, and more flexibility. Hoping to allow some searching of the databases, and perhaps even the building of your own scan list from the data.

New computer in the shack

I have recently replaced the shack computer with a Dell Opitplex 780. 2 core 3.0ghz 4gb ram, and 300gb hard drive. It looks like my internet connection is more stable. LOTW is working now on the computer. All logs should up load to HRD Log, and EQSL right after the QSO is logged. LOTW will be uploaded after I am done operating that day. JT656 QSO will be logged on HRD Log, EQSL, and LOTW after I am done operating for the day. Logs will be uploaded to Club Log frequently.

I am hoping to do more with the RTL SDR (Terretec) dongle that I have. I have SDR# installed, and the SDR is working great on this system. I should be able to start doing some new things with it now.
